G’Old Atelier AB – Terms & Conditions (Version 1.1)
Effective from: 2026-04-26
(Replaces all previous versions)

1. Personal Data Policy

G’Old Atelier processes personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Your information is used solely to administer your order, communicate with you, and deliver our services.
We do not share personal data with third parties unless required to fulfill the service or by law.
You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data.
For such requests, please contact us at helloyou@g-oldatelier.se.

2. General Terms and Applicability

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all services provided by G’Old Atelier AB, including orders placed via our website, email, WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, or any other official communication channel.
Each service is governed by the version of the Terms in effect at the time the order is confirmed.
Previous versions are archived and may be provided upon request.
By proceeding with a service, the customer confirms that they have read and understood these Terms.
In the event of discrepancies, the English version of these Terms shall prevail.

3. Eligibility

Customers must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into an agreement.
G’Old Atelier assumes that any person placing an order meets these requirements.

4. Consumer Rights in Sweden

4.1 Distance Purchases

For purchases made at a distance (including online, email, WhatsApp, or other remote channels), a fourteen (14) day right of withdrawal applies.

4.2 Restoration and Leather Care Services

For restoration, cleaning, repair, and leather care services, the right of withdrawal does not apply once the service has begun.

By confirming the order and allowing work to start, the customer accepts that the service cannot be cancelled or reversed.

4.3 In-Atelier Purchases

For purchases or agreements made in person at G’Old Atelier’s premises, no right of withdrawal applies.

5. Service Requests and Quotes

Customers are responsible for providing accurate and complete information regarding the item and the requested service.
All quotes are based on the information and visual material provided and are therefore indicative.
A final assessment is made after physical inspection of the item.
If adjustments to the scope of work or pricing are required, the customer will be informed, and no additional work will be carried out without prior approval.

6. Condition and Pre-Treatment Acknowledgment

All items submitted to G’Old Atelier are considered pre-used unless explicitly stated otherwise.
Such items may show wear, discoloration, staining, or structural fatigue.
By submitting an item, the customer acknowledges that pre-existing conditions may limit the achievable result and, in some cases, may become more visible following treatment.

7. Material Sensitivity and Treatment Risks

Certain materials, particularly suede, nubuck, and lightly finished or untreated leather, are highly sensitive and absorb dirt and oils deeply.
These materials can react unpredictably to cleaning and restoration processes.
As a result, treatment may lead to changes in texture, softness, colour tone, or overall surface appearance.
Such changes are inherent to the material and the restoration process and shall not be considered damage.

8. Service Limitations and Outcome

All work is carried out using professional methods, specialized products, and industry knowledge.
However, due to the nature of restoration, results cannot be guaranteed and a complete return to original condition may not be possible.
In some cases, improving one aspect of an item, such as removing stains, may involve trade-offs in other characteristics, including texture or colour uniformity.

9. Additional Work

If additional work is required to achieve the agreed result, the customer will be notified.
No such work will be carried out without the customer’s explicit consent.

10. Counterfeit or Unsuitable Items

If an item is identified as counterfeit, of insufficient quality, or otherwise unsuitable for restoration, G’Old Atelier does not guarantee any outcome.
The customer will be informed and may choose whether to proceed.
If the customer declines further service, they remain responsible for any costs incurred up to that point, including evaluation and handling fees.

11. Non-Restorable Items

If an item is deemed irreparable or significantly different from the initial description, the customer will be informed and given options regarding its handling.
This may include return shipping at a fixed cost, responsible disposal, or donation.
If no instruction is provided, G’Old Atelier reserves the right to proceed with disposal or donation.

12. Irreversibility of Services

Once restoration work has commenced, the process is irreversible.
Due to the artisanal nature of the work and the characteristics of the materials involved, minor variations or imperfections may occur and are considered part of the service.

13. Acceptance and Complaints

Customers are expected to inspect their item upon receipt.
Any concerns must be raised within a reasonable time and submitted in writing.
Delayed complaints may affect the assessment of the case.
Each complaint is reviewed individually based on the condition of the item before and after treatment.

14. Limitation of Liability

G’Old Atelier’s liability is limited to the current market value of the item at the time of submission, considering its age, condition, and prior use.
The original retail price does not constitute the item’s current value.
G’Old Atelier is not liable for outcomes resulting from pre-existing conditions, the inherent nature of materials, or limitations of the restoration process.

15. Insurance

G’Old Atelier may consult its insurance provider where relevant.
The decision to file a claim is made solely by G’Old Atelier based on the assessment of liability and the insurer’s guidance.

16. Prices and Payment

All prices include VAT unless otherwise stated and exclude shipping and external charges.
Payment must be completed before shipment for remote orders or at the time of collection for in-person services.
G’Old Atelier reserves the right to suspend delivery of items until full payment has been received.
Late payments may result in additional fees or recovery actions.

17. Resale and Online Shop

For items sold through third-party platforms, the respective platform’s terms and policies apply.

18. Colour Disclaimer

Product colours may vary depending on lighting conditions, screen settings, and device displays.
G’Old Atelier cannot guarantee exact colour representation.

19. Brand Disclaimer

G’Old Atelier is an independent business and is not affiliated with or endorsed by any brand, unless explicitly stated.
All trademarks and brand names remain the property of their respective owners.

Shipping, Delivery and Storage

21. Shipping of Items to G’Old Atelier

Shipment of items to G’Old Atelier for restoration is the responsibility of the customer and must be arranged using a shipping method of their choice.
The customer is required to carefully read and follow G’Old Atelier’s shipping guidelines, which are provided after acceptance of the quote. These guidelines form an integral part of the service agreement.
G’Old Atelier shall not be held liable for damage, loss, or delay occurring during shipment to the atelier.
Items must be shipped within thirty (30) days from the date the quote is issued. If this period is exceeded, G’Old Atelier reserves the right to reassess the item and issue a revised quote.

22. Return Shipping of Restored Items

Return shipping is free of charge for all service orders amounting to or exceeding 2,500 SEK within Sweden. For orders below 2,500 SEK, a shipping fee will be applied as specified in your service quote. G’Old Atelier reserves the right to select the shipping provider unless otherwise agreed in writing prior to dispatch. Once the restoration service is completed and full payment has been received, G’Old Atelier will process and dispatch your item within two (2) working days.

23. Shipping Conditions and Packaging

Customers are responsible for packaging their items appropriately in accordance with the provided shipping guidelines.

24. Shipping Insurance

If the customer wishes to insure a shipment, this must be arranged at the time of sending the item or explicitly requested prior to return shipment.
G’Old Atelier is not responsible for the level of insurance selected by the customer.
Compensation for loss or damage during shipping is subject to the terms and limitations of the selected carrier.

25. Unclaimed or Undeliverable Shipments

Customers are responsible for collecting shipped items from their designated delivery point within the timeframe specified by the carrier.
If a shipment is returned to G’Old Atelier due to non-collection or incorrect delivery information, the customer will be responsible for any additional shipping and administrative costs associated with re-delivery.

26. Storage and Collection of Items

Due to limited storage capacity, customers must collect their items within fourteen (14) days from notification that the item is ready.
If an item is not collected within this period without prior notice, a storage fee of 250 SEK per week may be applied.
If an item remains uncollected for more than six (6) weeks from the initial notification, G’Old Atelier reserves the right to disclaim responsibility for the item.
Customers who anticipate delays in collection are expected to contact G’Old Atelier in advance to arrange an alternative solution.
